What do you do in your life (work and fun)?

I’m the design Director for Guess inc here in Los Angeles since 8 years, I have been designing and creating collections for the past 15 years. In my free time I like to travel to a secret destination “last minute-minimal packing to beach or desert” often to get inspired, I love to shop flea markets and vintage stores, I also own a Clothing Boutique and creative studio here in Downtown Los Angeles were I started my own business as a Fashion consultant and made a Denim Collection.

What made you leave Italy and chose Los Angeles?

I left Italy because I needed to build my own future without money just a big dream, make money fast, go to English school in London and Fashion School in USA and become a Designer Internationally.

Please share your best memory in the City.

When I first arrived I did not have any friends, or family and $100 in my pocket which I spend my first day at Disneyland. The first person I met was Evelyn by walking down the street desperately looking for a job, with my pink high hills on and zero dollars in my pocket. She is the owner at Mauro’s restaurant Fred Segal, she showed me the way and gave me my first job. Even if my English wasn’t perfect she gave me a chance to start my life here and finally pay for school.

What made you choose this specific location and outfit?

I love DTLA (Downtown Los Angeles), I live here, I own a business, I own my 2000 sqf loft in the Art district and love the Industrial part of Los Angeles. It is here where the biggest manufacturers of Denim are, amazing wash houses and incredible artists, it is where I work and live and drive my 1972 Mustang.

Your thought about this project, ITALIANY.US

I love this project, I think it is incredible to see how many Italians left their loved country and followed their dreams leaving their families and culture behind. This project is incredible!

How would you describe being an ambassador of the italian style/culture abroad?

I’m really happy to know that I could inspire young people to follow their dreams and passion and tell them is possible even if you only have to start with $100 like I did.
