La Venere Napoletana
I am a native Eritrean, born and raised in Napoli, Italy in 1986. I consider myself a globettroter my love for travelling is massive, and is pure passion; other than Italy, I lived in Greece, Los Angeles and New York, where I actually still reside since 2007. My love for fashion, art, photography, advertising and especially interior design made me fall in love with the real estate in NY, today I am a realtor at Keller Williams NYC.
I do everything that I love in life. I am realtor, a bartender, a foodie, a storyteller, a traveler, and a funny social butterfly.
I simply left, because the lack of job opportunity, and the economics crisis that is still going on in Italy and by choosing to move to New York, I knew that I would be able to get a job, go to school, pay for my own tuition, get an apartment, and most important create my own future based on my dreams, and my goals in life.
I don’t really have one favorite memory, and New York is definitely been so good to me.
However, maybe of the best and sweet memories I have is when I just moved to NYC in 2007, and I don’t know “how” but I managed to get a job in an Italian “Sicilian restaurant” as a waitress; I had absolutely zero experience and my English level was so poor ; I remember going to work everyday and feeling like “io speriamo che me la cavo” (I hope I can make it), I legit COULD NOT understand anything (completely lost) from the owners and their Sicilian slangs to the American customers and their coffee refills that gave me nightmares; anyway likely I worked there for almost 2 years, I managed to do not get fired and end up to meet so many cool people that turn out to be great friends.
I choose this location with Alexo, Financial District, I never come down here, the only time that I did, beside today was the day that I obtain my Green Card…. definitely meant a lot to me. The outfit is very simple, just the exactly reflection of who I am.
Amazingly Beautiful… brilliant idea, and one of the greatest honor, I have ever received in my life.
It’s just awesome to even be consider as an Italian Ambassador. My only advice and motto is: do never give up to your dreams, do whatever it takes to get there, be humble and treat people with integrity. Everything is possible, maybe isn’t going to happen today, maybe isn’t going to happen tomorrow but definitely step by step you are going to get there.
