Davide Locatelli

August 22, 1992, pianist and composer. An unconventional pianist, he defines himself as a ”crossover”, making his technical skills and image a workhorse. Tattoos, piercings and bleached hair make Davide a modern image of the classic pianist with jacket and tie. He graduated from the L.Campiani conservatory in Mantua (IT) in classical piano. He continued his studies in composition and jazz piano at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan (IT). He has 4 albums to his credit: Tunnel (2011), Fly Away (2014), La vie en… rock (2016) and This is Dave (2021). He made his first single with a major label (Sony Music) where with his version of the ”Pirates of the Caribbean” theme he totaled over 1 million views on YouTube, surpassing the previous record of his colleague Ludovico Einaudi”. His latest album ”This is Dave” gives him third position on Amazon’s general list, and from which 3 singles of his composition are extracted: Sugar Land, Experience and Hyper Silent. Since 2020 he has been working with the fashion house ”Dolce & Gabbana”, combining music and fashion into one thing that binds him to the brand. Davide soon became the image of Dolce & Gabbana Haute Couture, performing all over the world from Los Angels to Tokyo and setting the brand’s most important fashion shows to music with his music. Davide also performs at the brand’s private events, which have allowed him to perform in front of the Trump family, Jennifer Lopez, Vin Diesel, Kitty Spencer, Naomi Campbell, Demi Moore and many others. In 2021 he wrote the new Milan anthem on the occasion of the team’s 122th anniversary. In 2023 he broke a Guinness World record by performing the piano concert on the highest peak in the world. Davide played in India, in the Ladakh region on the Khardong La chain at over 5600m, testing not only his piano skills but also his physical ones. In 2024 he beat a second Guinness Worlds Record live on Canale 5 by making the greatest number of backwards notes (703) on the piano. ”Davide goes America” will be released in September 2024, Davide’s first TV series where he will be the leading actor and also the composer of all the music. He has over 1000 concerts under his belt in the last 10 years, as well as a good social following where he always keeps his fans updated on his adventures.

I started to play piano when I was 3 because my dad is also a pianist, he was my first teacher, and I started to compose my own music when I was 17. I define myself as a digital entrepreneur, I’m also the CEO and Founder of ‘’Dave Locatelli AG’’ where me and my team manage the social media of: artists, celebrities and company to grow their business through their online presence. I also have a private school of music in Italy. My father and I founded in 2007.
My hobbies are going to the gym (health is all about how you treat your body), help homeless dogs around the world and be always creative and supportive with the next one.
To be honest… I did for my girlfriend and for my career. Alyson is my girlfriend since 2022, and I never thought to change my life for a woman…but for her it was worth it. She pushed me to move here because she always said: you deserve to be even bigger than what you already are in Italy. Los Angeles is the best place where an artist can grow their career.
I have a lot of great memories already in this city… but one of the best is for sure when I performed at The Viper Room, the iconic club previously owned by Johnny Depp.
Many artists dream all their lives of playing in a venue like this, and after a few months I managed to have a sold-out concert in one of the temples of music. I am honored.
Where do you find another piano staircase around the world? Alexo proposed this location to me after some research. We wanted to shoot in a unique place that represented both the culture of the instrument and the sound, but with the streetwear style that define me. I am styled by Alyson, she is a successful stylist and now I am double lucky because she became my personal stylist as well. She knows how I like to dress and I think she can understand from my morning mood how I would like to be dressed.
I think Alexo did and he is doing an amazing job with this idea to collect all the stories of Italians who have decided to live a new life abroad. It will be a memory forever for the Italian culture. Chapeau!
I am very proud to represent my country in the world with my music… but not only myself, also an Italian reality and excellence like Dolce & Gabbana who believed in my project many years ago and we have done great things together. Always proud to be Italian! #loveitalianstyle
