He moved to New York City in 2007 for what was supposed to be a sabbatical couple of months then turned in a life change. Determined to stay in the US together with his best friend Brian, they created a brand, import & distribution company named “Sogno Toscano Inc.” meaning Tuscan dream. After several years, Sogno Toscano became a leading brand with national US presence and an established “go to stop” for Chefs and Buyers all over when looking for authenticity, quality & top notch service.

What do you do in your life (work and fun)?

I am the co-founder and CEO of Sogno Toscano Inc., a specialty food company with national US presence bringing the best culinary experiences that Italy has to offer to the United States.
For fun I work since my job is my passion.
Beside that, I have plenty of hobbies with Horses and Cowboy lifestyle being at the top since it is something I have been doing from a very early age.

What made you leave Italy and chose Scottsdale?

I left Italy when I was 20 years old for what was supposed to be a sabbatical few months and as soon as I got here I was charmed by the wealth of energy and opportunity as well as a meritocratic mindset that the US has contrary to Italy where is more about who you know and who you belong to. I love my country of birth and will always vacation there and cherish it, but my home for now are the US of A.

Please share your best memory in the City.

Too many to mention but one worth remembering, is when with my best friend Brian in the early days when we first moved to Arizona we would spend weekends renting cars with full insurance and doing our own rally track times between ranches and the desert. Every time we’d return them on Sunday… let’s say that the staff wasn’t the happiest.. we have actually got banned!

What made you choose this specific location and outfit?

Our Ranch in Arizona represents the reason why I am here, after all if you to trace it all the way back to the beginnings, its because of the passion for horses and the western lifestyle that I even got to know about the US. The State of Arizona and our Ranch are a special place to me and I always reconnect with myself when I come here. As per the Outfit, well, when in Rome right…? A good “Canadian Tuxedo” when around horses is timeless and charming in my opinion.

Your thoughts about this project, ITALIANY.US

Italiany.us is such a great initiative and I want to congratulate Alexo and the team behind it as it is a beautiful reminder of how much personality our homeland Italy has. It generates so many brilliant and unique characters and to have someone to capture them in this fashion, well, it will serve a purpose for generations to come.

How would you describe being an ambassador of the Italian style/culture abroad?

Nothing but proud… Extremely proud. It is an honor to represent such excellence and the best part is that in the US there is a genuine passion and curiosity for everything Italian, so to be a small part of it is very fulfilling.
